Postcard that went missing

Gate of Harmonious Interest
Watercolour postcard

Here’s the postcard I sent off to Cathy Gatland in South Africa, as part of our international postcard exchange A Postcard From My Walk.  It went somewhere else, so I’m going to try sending Cathy another one in a couple of weeks.
Here’s what I wrote on the Gate of Harmonious Interest-gone-astray:
Victoria’s Chinatown is the second oldest in North America.  It began in 1858 when the discovery of gold in the Fraser Canyon led to a sudden surge in immigration to British Columbia from California, about one third of which was Chinese. Symbols in the design represent harmony between the Golden Dragon (Yang) and the Red Phoenix (Yin).  On either side of the gate are two lions, who act as guardians protecting Chinatown.
